I'm looking into volunteering through A Broader View in the Philippines during the summer of 2011. While searching for reviews on ABV I stumbled along your blog. From reading your posts, it seems like you had a great experience! I just had a few questions, so I was wondering if you could answer them for me. What made you choose ABV over other volunteer programs? Do you think ABV is a trustworthy, legit program? Was your experience anything like the programs description? How far in advance did you apply for the program and when did you hear back from them? Volunteering at a school in the Philippines seems like it would be such a great experience!
